ASAPP joins the SME Finance Forum

The Association of South African Payment Providers is pleased to announce that it joined the SME Finance Forum in June 2026.

The SME Finance Forum brings together financial institutions, fintechs, development finance institutions, technology providers and other ecosystem participants committed to expanding access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises.

ASAPP’s participation in the Forum aligns with its broader objective of supporting a more inclusive, competitive and innovative payments ecosystem in South Africa. Through this affiliation, ASAPP looks forward to engaging with local and international stakeholders on the role of digital payments and non-bank participation in accelerating SME growth and financial inclusion.

This is an important opportunity for ASAPP to contribute a South African perspective to global conversations on SME finance, while also sharing insights and learnings with its members as the landscape continues to evolve.
