ABOUT ASAPP
The Association of South African Payment Providers (ASAPP) is a new collective of non-banking entities committed to contributing to the digitisation of the economy through payments for the benefit of society.
ASAPP was formed in 2024 with the aim to ensure fair access to payment infrastructure and digitalisation incentives, reduce the wholesale cost of digital payments, and improve customer mobility and transparency.

ASAPP’s mission includes advocating for policies that promote financial inclusion, encourage innovation, and ensure a level playing field for all market participants.
